Radon is a radioactive gas that comes from the decomposition of uranium which is found in granite. Along the front range of the Rocky Mountains, we find elevated levels frequently. As many as 60% of all homes we test come back high. The EPA identifies our area as having some of the highest concentrations of radon gas in the country. Radon is known to be the second leading cause of lung cancer behind smoking. The good news is that mitigation of radon gas in our homes is relatively easy. The EPA recommends all homes be tested for radon gas and mitigation system be installed if the level is 4.0 pCi/l or higher.
We offer Radon Testing utilizing electronic Professional Continuous Monitors. Radon Testing requires a minimum of 48 hours.
